Mrs. Clarence Geary, Curtiss, and Mrs. Cliff Nenzel and daughter Susan of Stanley went to Eau Claire Wednesday, where Susan had a check-up at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schumacher of Dorchester were callers at the Cornel Erickson home Wednesday.

The Midway Homemakers met at the home of Mrs. Ed Kivikko at Owen Monday. The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. John Strassburger. The homemakers creed was repeated in unison, followed by the pledge of allegiance. Seventeen members answered roll call by naming a favorite valentine.

After our informative lesson on "Detergent Dilemma" was given by Mrs. Wilfred Marcott. The annual exchange of valentine gifts took place. The hostess served a delicious lunch.

The next meeting will be March 21 at the home of Mrs. Franklin Kraut. The topic will be "Around the World with Chicken."

Clara Newman of Chicago spent the weekend at the homme of her mother, Mrs. Sophia Newman.

Mrs. Lawrence Klemetson is spending a week at the home of her daughter and family at Waukegan, Illinois.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Schwanebach and family of Wausau called on Mrs. Carla Lien on Sunday.

Mrs. Daniel Poppe of Baldwin and Mrs. Mabel Miolund of Withee, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ridpath were Sunday visitors at the Cornel Erickson home.
