Stumblingbear, Aaron Lee “Bugg” (1 January 1995 – 14 July 2018)
Aaron Lee Stumblingbear (Bugg) “Kužogiwe”, age 23 of Black River Falls passed
away on July 14, 2018 in Sand Pillow. He was born on January 1, 1995 in Chicago,
Illinois, the son of Chavo Stumblingbear and Fawn Smith.
Aaron graduated from Black River Falls Senior High School in 2013. He was a
youth worker for the DNR then worked at Ho-Chunk Nation as a Youth Coordinator
for the last 5 years.
Aaron enjoyed spending time with his dogs, hiking, fishing, and playing video
games with his sister. His hobbies included cooking, learning to play the piano,
collecting swords, and singing pow-wow music. Aaron was a die-hard Chicago
sports fan. When traditional functions came about he had no problem helping and
he was a very hard worker.
Aaron is survived by his father Chavo Stumblingbear, his mother Fawn Smith, his
brother Troy (Myshell) Stumblingbear, his sister Calista Stumblingbear, his
maternal grandmother Eunice Winneshiek, and his uncles Robert Smith and Tyler
Decorah.
Traditional Native American Services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, July 17,
2018 at W8809 Blackhawk Road, Black River Falls, with Christian Bird
officiating. Burial will follow at Dells Dam Family Cemetery, Neillsville.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at
Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls, and again from 10:00 a.m. until time
of services on Tuesday at W8809 Blackhawk Road, Black River Falls.
Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
