Richardson, Lawrence A. (21 NOV 1905 – 02 MAR 1972)
Lawrence A. Richardson, 66, of 11oo Third Ave., Menomonie, died last Thursday
afternoon at Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Episcopal Church, with
the Very Rev. Charles E. Cason Jr. officiating. Burial was in Evergreen
Cemetery.
The Goodrich Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richardson was born November 21, 1905 at Cadott, and graduated from Owen
(Clark Co., Wis.) High School. He attended Antioch College and worked for
Northern State Power Company from 1927 until retirement in 1970. He had been
Menomonie District NSP Manager since 1935.
He was presently serving as chairman of the Dunn Country Red Cross Chapter and
president of the Mabel Tainter Preservation Society. He was also past president
of the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce, Menomonie Rotary Club, and Mabel Tainter
Memorial Theater Guild. He was past commissioner of the Silver Waters Boy Scout
District and a member of the Menomonie Masonic Lodge No. 164, and Eau Claire
Consistory.
Surviving are his wife, Irma; a daughter, Mrs. C.M> Carl Jr., Fairfax, Vermont;
his mother, Mrs. Georgian C. Richardson; two sisters, Mrs. E.W. Sutter, Owen,
and Mrs. J.M. McIntire, Van Nuys, California; two brothers, Gerald, Park Ridge,
Illinois; William, Waupun; and one grandson.
The family requests any memorials to be given to the Red Cross, Mable Tainter
Preservation Society or Grace Church.
