Borgeson, Rudolph J. (30 AUG 1887 – 27 MAR 1972)
Services will be held at two o'clock today (Thursday, March 30) at Nazareth
Lutheran Church, Withee, for Rudolph John Borgeson, 84, of route 2, Withee
(Clark Co., Wis.), who died Monday, March 27, 1972, at the Marshfield
Convalescent Center, where he had resided the past four days.
The Rev. Robert Sullivan, pastor, will officiated, and burial will be made in
Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Petersen, Owen Melin, Ray Slock, Robert Johnson, Lester
Kallberg and John Peterson.
In charge of the floral offerings will be grandchildren, Jackie Borgeson, Susan
Johnson and Lee Borgeson.
Mr. Borgeson was born August 30, 1887 in Sweden and came to this country in
1915, settling in Moline, Illinois. He was employed at the Moline :Plow Works
several years prior to coming to Withee in 1913. On May 25, 1922 he was married
to Jenny Borgeson. The couple farmed here until 1952, when they retired and
moved to Minneapolis. They returned to the Withee area in 1968.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Siegfried Borgeson, route 2, Withee, and
Raymond of Racine; a daughter, Mrs. W.L. (Elsie) Johnson, Minneapolis; five
grandchildren; and a brother, Bernhard Borgeson, Sweden.
