Bloom, Frank O. (9 JUN 1894 – 21 APR 1972)
Funeral services for Frank Oscar Bloom, 72, were conducted Monday afternoon at
1:30 from the Gospel Tabernacle, Withee, by the Rev. Arnold Cox. Burial was made
in Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers were Orlando Olson, Carl Erickson, Elmer Jensen, Don
Koerner, Walter Nicks, and Rueben Mantyk.
The deceased succumbed to a heart condition of Friday, April 21, 1972, at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He had been hospitalized about a week prior to
his death, and prior to that had been a resident at the Convalescent Center at
Marshfield, since mid-February.
He was born June 9, 1894 in Sweden and came to the United States in 1914. He
served in the Army during World War I. He came to Wisconsin in the early 1930's
and has farmed in the Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.) ever since.
On January 6, 1926 he was united in marriage to the former Emma Helena Johnson,
who preceded him in death, passing away in June 1968. He is survived by two
sons, Carl Robert Bloom and Frank Huber Bloom, both of West Bend; a daughter,
Mrs. Esther Litten, rural Withee; two sisters, Hulda and Alma; thirteen
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
