James Chester Neff, rural Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Milwaukee. He was 78 years of age.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Withee, with the Rev. George Becker, pastor of Holy Rosary, in charge of the service.

Visitations may be made at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home beginning Friday afternoon.

Mr. Neff, who was never married, had farmed in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co.) for 60 years before going to Milwaukee.

Survivors include a sister, Miss Hazel Neff, Milwaukee; and a brother, Hugh Neff, Eagle River.
