A cool, wet June saw 9.44 inches of rainfall during the 30 day period, bringing
the combined May and June precipitation measurements to 16.2 inches.
While there was a high reading of 86 degrees June 5, temperatures were down,
falling into the forties and fifties nights as a general rule. The low reading
was 43 degrees June 3, and weather bureau recorder Frank Krueger reported nine
days of thunder.
The 9.44 inches of rainfall last month did not break any recent records. The
record rainfall for June was in 1940 when 11.23 inches were recorded.
