Woznicki, Audrey (Southworth) (28 FEB 1965 - 12 JUL 2018)

Audrey Woznicki, age 53, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire after a long battle with cancer.

Audrey was born in Medford, WI, to George and Elaine Southworth on February 28, 1965. She went to high school in Medford and later graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a BA Degree. Her working career was spent in the catalog industry first at Mason Shoe Co. as a layout designer and later at Sportsman’s Guide as their Print & Production Director.

She married Clark Woznicki on September 14, 1996, in Eau Claire. Audrey had many passions. First and foremost, she loved her family. They were the most important thing in her life. Second, the outdoors. Her summers were spent competing in triathlons and twice successfully completed the IronMan. She also loved the winter because cross-country skiing was another passion. Most free time in the winter was spent training for the BIRKIE in Hayward. She completed the race every year she competed. In addition, she spent many mornings year-round either running or biking with a group of friends called the “Sunshine Sisters.” They were her inspiration. And finally, she loved to spend time at the cottage either swimming, golfing or biking on the many trails. She just loved the smell of pine in the air.

But when her illness finally didn’t allow for all the activities, she made time to volunteer at Feed My People Food Bank. She often said, “I’m so lucky to have what I have,” so she shared with others when she could. That generosity of her heart is what will be missed.

Audrey is preceded in death by her father George. She is survived by Clark Woznicki (husband), her mother (Elaine), Paul and MaryJo Peplinski (Southworth -sister), Patrick Southworth (brother) and Paul, Justin and Elizabeth Peplinski (niece and nephews).

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, WI, with Father Phillip Juza officiating. Burial will follow at Molitor Catholic Cemetery.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services of Altoona, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
