Ridpath, Edith M. (19 DEC 1906 – 26 APR 1972)
Mrs. Edith Mae Ridpath, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died Wednesday,
April 26, 1972 of an apparent heart attack at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley. She was 65 years of age.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29 at the Hoper and Kraut
Funeral Home, Owen, with Rev. Alexander Fraser, pastor of St. Katherine's
Episcopal Church, Owen, officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
The former Edith Mae Newcomb was born December 19, 1906 at What Cheer, Iowa, and
was married in Sigourney, Iowa, January 20, 1927 to Lawrence Ridpath, who
survives. The couple moved to Curtiss in 1931 and operated a farm there.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, William, Owen, and
Charles, Louisiana; a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Nina) Bahr; Elmwood; one
grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Dugger and Mrs. Elizabeth Eulen, both of What
Cheer, Iowa.
