Dr. Agnes Jones, who has headed the home economics faculty most of the time
since her arrival on campus in 1956, has been re-appointed assistant Dean in the
College of Professional Studies, in charge of the school of Home Economics at
Wisconsin State University, Stevens Point.
Her term is for three years.
The appointment was made by Dr. Arthur Fritschel, Dean of COPS, following a vote
of recommendation by members of the home economics faculty. Before her program
became a school in COPS, it was a department of the University for which Mrs.
Jones served as chairman.
Mrs. Jones is the daughter of Sam Anderson, formerly of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.),
a graduate of Owen High School with the Class of 1934, and a graduate of the
University of Wisconsin, Madison.
