Dunn, Tim J. (12 NOV 1937 – 18 JUL 2018)
Tim J. Dunn, 80, Winthrop Harbor, Ill., formerly of Greenwood, went home to be
with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. A visitation will be held at the
Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Ill., on Wednesday, July 25, at 5
p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11
a.m. on Saturday, July 28, in the Greenwood City Cemetery.
Tim was born on Nov. 12, 1937, in Owen, to Merrill and Eileen (nee Bredesen)
Dunn. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1955. He moved to Racine in
1959 and worked for American Motors/Chrysler in Kenosha for 42 years. Tim was a
member of The Reachouts in the 1970s and 1980s, putting his musical talent to
use with his guitar, bass guitar, and one thing many people remember him best
for, the saw. He also played the accordion to the enjoyment of many. He loved
fishing, especially in the lakes and rivers in northern Wisconsin, and watching
the wildlife in his yard. On May 24, 2009, he married Wanda Dulaney in Zion,
Ill., his faithful companion during his later years.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; three children; Rhonda (John) Monks of
Wausau, Kevin (Kerri) Dunn of Racine, and Amy (Douglas) Nunziato of Marysville,
Wash.; their mother, Marla DelaPena of Racine; six grandchildren: Margaret
(Robert) Steward, Katherine (Travis) Harp, Christopher Dunn, Courtney Dunn,
Analise Nunziato, and Nathanael Nunziato; seven great-grandchildren; his
brothers and sisters: Michael (Julie) Dunn, Marilyn (Val) Stevens, Susan
(Kenneth) Martini, and Malcolm (Bonnie) Dunn; his step-children: Don (Peggy)
Dulaney, Dave (Kelly) Dulaney, and Diane (Bob) Martinelli; 11
step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
from both families too numerous to mention by name.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Dunn;
one grandson, Micah Nunziato; and his second wife, Barbara Dunn.
