Tessman, Harold LeRoy “Rick” (24 June 1944 – 18 July 2018)

Harold “Rick” Tessman, age 74, of Neillsville, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home.

Harold LeRoy Tessman was born on June 24, 1944 in Sparta, the son of Harold and Lotis (Chambers) Tessman. He was united in marriage to Shirley A. Hoffschroer on December 8, 1979 in Belvedere, IL. They lived in Marengo, IL for quite a while and Harold worked as a meat cutter. In 1985, they moved to the family farm at Neillsville and Harold worked for Wayne Short at the fur farm.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and reloading ammunition. However, what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, seven children, Jenny (Brian) Barth of Neillsville, Christopher Tessman of IL, Curtis (Sherilyn) Tessman of WI, Corie (Lorrie) Tessman of LA, Scott Tessman of LA, Shiela (Todd) Tessman of LA and Mike Rhoe of WI. He is further survived by grandchildren: Skylar, Jaden, Gavin, Nicole, Matthew, Nicholas, Christen, Bradon, LaRae, Jonathan, Corrinn, Chance, Hannah, Micah, Dylan, Paige, Narissa, Lee, Julian, Deago, Alondra and Dylan; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Colleen) Tessman of Neillsville, and a nephew, Todd Tessman of Neillsville.

Harold was preceded in death by a son, David, a grandson, Joshua, a nephew, Jeff Tessman, an infant sister, Debbie and his parents.

A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
