Oldham, Rita E. (9 March 1937 – 21 July 2018)

Rita E. Oldham (Schaefer) of Kenosha, formerly of Land o’ Lakes, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Kenosha. Rita was born on March 9, 1937 in Appleton, to Clara and Joseph Schaefer. She married Calvin Oldham on November 2, 1957 and then moved to Land o’ Lakes, where they raised their five children.

Rita was known for her wonderful cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her 9 grandchildren: Alyssa, Aaron, Katelyn, Sammy, Clara, Delia, Jonathan, Rachel, and Steven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Joseph Schaefer, and her sister and brother-in-law Joni and Leo Sprangers and sister-in-law Dolores Schaefer.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Calvin and their five children: Tom and Priscilla Oldham of Glen Arm, Maryland, Julie and Lary Wong of Grayslake, IL, Tina and Lyle Boushon of Grayslake, IL, Suzanne and Paul Atkinson of Indianapolis, IN and Carolyn and Rob Nosarzewski of Eagle River. She is also survived by her siblings: Jerry Schaefer, Jack and Vivian Schaefer, Rosanne and Maynard Romenesko.

A visitation and memorial service is being held on Saturday, July 28th at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home at 304 Division St. Eagle River. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

(Rita’s husband Calvin Oldham is a Neillsville High School graduate and has many Oldham relatives still in Clark County. DMK)
