Benedict, Susan A. (Marriage – 15 March 1975)
Yellow roses and white carnations formed the bouquet carried by Miss Susan A.
Benedict as she became the bride of Steve Dawson in a 7 p.m. candlelight
ceremony performed March 15 at the Loyal United Methodist Church. The Rev.
Eugene Carlson officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Benedict of
Loyal and the son of Mrs. Doris Dawson of Rt. 1, Unity, and the late Roy Dawson.
A cathedral train highlighted the bride’s empire style gown of white satapeau
fashioned with bodice and bishop sleeves of reembroidered lace, a high neckline,
trimmed with seed pearls, and a deep hemline ruffle.
Mrs. Kenny Sandley, Edgar, was the matron of honor and Mrs. Rick Edblom,
Stratford, and Miss Kathy Collinson, Spencer, were the bridesmaids. They were
gowned in shades of orange, light blue and blue, respectively. Each carried a
yellow rose tied with a dark green ribbon.
Attending the groom were Kenny Sandley, Edgar, as bestman and Rick Edblom,
Stratford, and Gary Dawson, Unity, as groomsmen. Ushers were Leroy Collinson and
Dave Dawson.
A reception was held in the church hall.
The new Mrs. Dawson is a 1974 graduate of Loyal High School and her husband is a
Colby High School graduate. They will live in Colby.
