Bohman, “Bucky” Clifford J. (1 FEB 1948 - 24 JUL 2018)
“Bucky” Clifford J. Bohman, 70, of Stratford, passed away unexpectedly at his
residence on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, July 30, 2018
at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield will Rev. Samuel Martin
officiating. Committal services will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in the
Town of Eau Pleine in Marathon County. Family and friends are invited to gather
on Sunday at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer from 4PM until 7PM and again
on Monday at the church in Marshfield from 10AM until time of services.
The honor of being his pallbearer belongs to Gary Bohman, Randy Bohman, Pat
Bohman, Al Bohman, Glen Dickson, Michael Wirkus, Jeff Holter, and David Nowak.
Bucky was born February 1, 1948 in Stratford, the son of Louis and Helen
(Walters) Bohman. After graduating from Stratford High School, he hauled milk
for Stratford area farmers and handled day to day farming chores helping his
brother operate the family farm.
Bucky was united in marriage to Rosemary Wirkus on December 3, 1977 at Saint
Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford. At the time of his passing, Bucky had
been employed with Cherokee Garage in Colby for over 48 years working as a
mechanic, in sales and in “all around everything.” He was a member of Saint
Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford, an usher for Mass at Saint John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield and was a board member for the Town of
Frankfort in Marathon County.
His hobbies included watching trains in his spare time and doing everything with
tractors including driving them, working on them, pulling with them, combining
with them or working with his skid steer. Bucky loved visiting the area parks
and spending time with his wife, children and grandkids. He was always willing
to help area farmers with whatever and whenever. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife Rosemary of Stratford; his two children Dodie
(Jeremy) Vesely of Colby and Billy (Hazel) Bohman of Eau Claire; his
grandchildren: Addison and Kason; his siblings: Allan (Alice) Bohman of Edgar,
Gerald (Myrna) Bohman of Mosinee and Mary Ann Wirkus of Stratford; his in-laws
including: Dorothy Bohman of Stratford, Carol (James) Streveler of Brule, Gloria
Wirkus of Edgar, Donald (Anna) Wirkus of Chili, John (Barbara) Wirkus of Wausau,
Patricia (James) Nowak of Stratford, Marjean (James) Bomski of Green Bay, Joseph
Wirkus of Stratford, Frank (Sandra) Wirkus of Wausau, Charles Wirkus of Las
Vegas, Jane (Glen) Dickson of Pittsville, Betty (Dave) Krall of Marshfield,
Michael (Jackie) Wirkus of Marshfield, Patrick (Nancy) Wirkus of Janesville
along with other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including
family friends Kenny and Connie Ven Rooy.
Bucky was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donovan Bohman, a
brother Michael and sister LuAnn both in infancy and his in-laws Joseph
(Dorothy) Wirkus, Robert Wirkus, Sharon (Lyle) Hackel, James Wirkus, and Joan
Kuyoth.
If desired, memorials in Bucky’s name are being accepted by his family for a
charity to be determined later.
His arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
