Karen Sue Esslinger, 71, Butternut, died on Monday, July 23, 2018, at her home
in Butternut.
She was born on May 26, 1947, in Butternut, the daughter of Edwin and Irene (Tesch)
Hamann. She spent her early life and schooling in Butternut. She was a graduate
of Butternut High School, Class of 1965.
Following graduation she was employed in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Minnesota as an
administrative assistant at various businesses before returning to Butternut in
2013.
She is survived by her loving companion of over 30 years Bob Campbell,
Butternut, 1 daughter: Kristie Esslinger, Benoit, Wi., Mike (Krista) Esslinger,
Fort Wayne, Ind., John Esslinger, Milwaukee, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 3
brothers: Bob Hamann, Butternut, Danny (Cathy) Hamann, Benoit, Wi., and Peter
Hamann, Park Falls, by 2 sisters: Diane Mallak, Park Falls, and Pat Jeffries,
Butternut, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 1 grandson Aaron Big Boy, by 1
sister Thelma Beasley, by 1 brother: Edwin Hamann, by 1 sister-in-law Gail
Hamann, and by 2 brothers-in-law Tom Mallak and Frank Jeffries.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 A. M. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at St.
Pauls Lutheran Church in Butternut with Pastor John Dietz officiating. Interment
will be in the Butternut Union Cemetery, Butternut. Friends may call from 10:00
A.M. on Wednesday, July 25 2018, at the church until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
