McEathron, Robert J. “Bob” (1970? - 19 JUL 2018)
Robert J. “Bob” McEathron, 48, of Eau Claire, died unexpectedly Thursday, July
19, 2018 at his residence.
Bob was born in Ladysmith to Gerald and Patricia (Gerber) McEathron. He
graduated from Lake Holcombe High School and took courses through Chippewa
Valley Technical College. Over the years Bob held various jobs in the Eau Claire
and Chippewa Falls area. Most recently he worked at Anytime Fitness and the
Career Development Center in Eau Claire.
Bob enjoyed playing games and spending time with his family, watching his nieces
and nephew play sports, attending services at Gateway Church in Eau Claire and
was active with the Epilepsy Foundation for many years. To know him was to love
him. Everyone loved his laughter and caring personality. He was always kind and
courteous and a willing helper.
Bob is survived by his parents, Jerry and Pat of Holcombe; his siblings, Lisa
(Bob) Caswell of Brooklyn Park, Minn. and Chad (Angela) McEathron of Chippewa
Falls; his nephew and nieces, Clayton and Claire Caswell and Lakken McEathron;
and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gayle and Anna McEathron, and John
and Beryl Gerber; his uncle, Lloyd McEathron and his aunt, Ida Mae Cohoon.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at
Hope Lutheran Church, 320 First Street S., Ladysmith, with Rev. Dwight Hanson
officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Western
Wisconsin in honor of Bob, 1812 Brackett Ave. Suite 5, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
