Oestreich, Grace A. (Laumer) (6 MAR 1929 - 21 JUL 2018)

Grace A. Oestreich, 89, Marathon, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at North Central Health Care Facility, Wausau.

She was born March 6, 1929 in the Town of Cassel, daughter of the late Fred and Emma (Hohndorf) Laumer. On September 3, 1955, she married William H. Oestreich at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2002.

Grace attended Daisy Dell School, Town of Cassel and Edgar High School. She also attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, graduating in 1949 with a Secretarial Degree. Grace later worked for Marathon County Social Services Department and as a homemaker, until her retirement.

Survivors include, three children, Garry Oestreich, Omaha, Nebraska, Dale (Wendy) Oestreich, Marathon and Ellen (Jeffrey) Muzynoski, Schofield; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Tyler) Heineck, Kimber Oestreich, Spenser Oestreich, Benjamin Muzynoski and Kellie Muzynoski; seven great-grandchildren, Greysen, Morrisen and Emersyn Heineck, Ava and Levi Jones, Ethan Muzynoski and Zoey Muench; and many other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by one daughter.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
