Norbert M. Teclaw, age 82, a resident ol Oak Park for over 50 years, passed away on July 9, 2018, at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Norb was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was the beloved husband of Nancy nee Lindquist; loving father of Lisa (Tom) Gill, Timothy (Caren) Teclaw and Ingrid Schimnoski; cherished Papa of Joseph, Alison and Tommy Gill, Lilette and Lindy Teclaw and Kirsten and Solveig Schimnoski; dear brother of Alois (the late Kathleen), Lillian (the late Leon) Kaczmarek, Marion (Margaret), Raymond (Valeria), Richard (the late Marlys), David (Carol) and the late Angeline, Malen (the late Donna), Leon (Pearl), Marcella (the late Leonard) Szymanski and Florence Teclaw; fond brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Norb taught physics at Oak Park and River Forest High School for over 30 years and was the director of the Triton College Night School Program also at the high school. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and received his master's degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He was a founding member of the Institute of Science Education and Technology (the Percy Julian Symposium) in Oak Park and the Heritage Chorale in Oak Park.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday July 14 at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St. Oak Park. Funeral Service Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 924 Lake St., Oak Park. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ISET (Institute of Science Education and Technology), 222 N. Grove Ave., #3G, Oak Park, IL 60302 are appreciated.
