Blazejovsky, Rosalie Dyann (22 March 1943 – 27 July 2018)

Rosalie D. Blazejovsky, age 75, of Black River Falls, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. She was surrounded by family. Rosalie was born March 22, 1943, daughter of Lester and Hattie (Roberts) Rhoades in the Oakridge area outside of Black River Falls, in her home.

Rosalie grew up in the Oakridge area and attended school. She graduated from Black River Falls High School. She moved to Beloit and worked at Beloit Corporation.

Rosalie met James “Jim” Blazejovsky at the Strawberry Festival in Alma Center. They got married November 4, 1961 at the Black River Falls United Methodist Church. They moved to Beloit and bought their first home. In 1966, Rosalie and James moved to Hatfield. Rosalie worked as a supervisor at Black River Crossing Oasis. Later, they moved to Madison, where she was employed by Pleasant Company. She was an inspector and assisted with assembling the American Girl Dolls. She retired in 1989 to travel and live life to the fullest with her husband and family.

Rosalie loved gardening and had an extensive bird collection. She especially enjoyed watching the native birds from the area and wildlife in general. She also enjoyed cooking and baking family favorites.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, James of Black River Falls; mother, Hattie (Rhoades) West of Black River Falls; daughter, Dyann Rosalie (Christopher) Henze of Janesville; brother, Leslie (Linda) Rhoades of Black River Falls; two sisters, Eleanora (Len) Iverson of Black River Falls and Kathy (John) Meihak of Brownsburg, IN; two grandchildren: Carrie (Wesam) Khouj of Tampa, FL and James (Ella) Schmidt of La Crosse; two great grandchildren: Hamza Khouj of Tampa, FL and Roman Schmidt of La Crosse; a sister-in-law, Janice Doran of Merrillan; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Rhoades; sister-in-law, Lillian Bunda and mother-in-law, Emma Blazejovsky.

Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls.
