Munson, Ida (16 MAY 1890 – 6 OCT 1972)
Funeral services were held Monday, October 9, 1972 at the Hoeper and Kraut
Funeral Home for Mrs. Ida Munson, 82, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 11
a.m. Friday, October 6, 1972 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
The Rev. Carl H. Wilson of Eau Claire officiated, and burial was made at
Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Serving as pallbearers were Arthur Karow, Wallace Wood, Ole Hanson, Sabin
Scherf, Bertel Miller, and Ervin Robertson.
The former Ida Funk was born May 16, 1890 in Withee, and was married there in
June of 1918 to Lawrence Munson, who died in September of 1966. They had lived
on a farm in the town of Hixon until 1958, when they moved to Withee, where she
taught school for 10 years. She also had given private music lessons to children
for 60 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Softer of Elk Mound, two
grandchildren, and a sister, Teresa Funk of Withee.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
