Ristola, Waino (14 JUL 1910 – 12 SEP 1972)
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday), September 14, 1972 at
the Bethany Lutheran Church, Owen, for Waino Ristola, 62, who died at 12:10 a.m.
Tuesday at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.
The Rev. Robert Sullivan will officiate, and burial will be made at Riverside
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Emil Potocnik, Voito Mutka, Elmer Venet, Toivo Kangas, Wm.
Kangas, and Otto Engel.
Mr. Ristola was born July 14, 1910 in Ishpeming, Michigan, and received his
education at the White School in the town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.). He came to
Wisconsin at the age of four and farmed in the town of Hixon for a short time,
and then had been a radio and TV repairman and electrician until 1971, when he
retired.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Ina) Hall, Savanna, Illinois, and
Anna Ristola, Owen; and a brother, Eugene Ristola, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eino.
