Thompson, Marie (24 MAY 1900 – 11 NOV 1972)

Funeral services were conducted for Marie Thompson, Tuesday, November 14, 1972
at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss, with the Rev. Roger Tellock conducting
the service. She passed away at the Colonial Home in Colby following a lingering
illness, on Saturday, November 11, 1972. Interment was made at the Norwegian
Lutheran Cemetery, rural Curtiss (Hoard Township).
Serving as pallbearers were Robert Mattson, Earl Schiszik, Lionel Schiszik,
Eugene Steinke, Harold Stange, and Vic Borgemoen.
Mrs. Thompson was born in the town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) on May 24, 1900,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Borgemoen. She was married in Chicago to Joseph
Spencer on May 15, 1920, and he passed away on June 11, 1960.
Her marriage to William Thompson took place at Abbotsford on October 23, 1961.
He was in the grocery business in Unity and Abbotsford, and for 15 years clerked
in the Abbotsford Hardware Store. Mr. Thompson now makes his home in Colby.
Her passing is mourned by her husband, William; one son, Robert Spencer of
Medford, and two grandson, Brian and Barry Spencer; a sister, Ida Schiszik, and
a brother, Olaf Borgemoen.
