Kallberg, Helmer G. (25 MAY 1908 – 07 DEC 1972)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 1972 at the Hoeper
and Kraut Funeral Home for Helmer G. Kallberg, 64, of route 1, Withee (Clark
Co., Wis.), who died Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
The Rev. Robert H. Sullivan, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, was in
charge of the service, and burial took place at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lester Himes, Art Smasal, Walter Pacewicz, Jerome Laki, Sabin
Scherf, and Ross Braithwaite.
Mr. Kallberg was born May 25, 1906 in Chicago. He came to the Green Grove area
(Clark Co.) as a young boy. He attended schools in that area, and then returned
to Chicago, where he was a pattern designer for Ling Belt Designers Corp.
In 1951 he returned to the town of Longwood, where he farmed. He was married
June 26, 1937, in Chicago, to Veronica Burnosky, who survives him.
Other survivors include a sister, Myrtle Kallberg of Owen, and a brother, Lester
Kallberg of route 2, Owen.
