Millikin, Gilbert (22 MAR 1910 – 30 NOV 1972)

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 3, 1972 at two o'clock from the
Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Gilbert Milliken, route 2, Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.), who passed away after suffering a heart attack on Thursday, November 30,
1972 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Burial was made in Riverside
Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Sullivan, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church,
Withee, officiating.
Mr. Millikin was a construction worker and farmed part time in Taylor County. He
was born March 22, 1910 in Taylor County, the son of Ora and Alice (Conway)
Millikin. On November 26, 1934 he was married to the former Dorothy Canefels in
a ceremony performed at Meadville, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Mrs. Marie Sadler of North Ridge,
California; two brothers, James Milliken of Holcombe, and George of Hartford.
He was a member of the American Legion in Owen, which group conducted military
rites at graveside, and a veteran of World War II.
