Mamayek, Stanley J. (22 JAN 1902 – 27 FEB 1971)

Stanley J. Mamayek, 69, passed away February 27, 1971 at his home of a massive coronary. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel, March 3, 1971, at ten a.m., with Reverend Father Joseph Walijewski officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Malen Balicki, Raymond Slipek, Stanley Wargolet Sr., Clarence Mroz, Robert Zukowski, and Henry Cieslik.

Mr. Mamayek was born January 22, 1902 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and lived there two years, then came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) with his parents, where he had spent and lived until his death. He spent some time working in Milwaukee, but came to the farm in 1939, where he's been living ever since. He was united in marriage September 27, 1930 to Evelyn Romanowski in Milwaukee.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn' two sons, David Mamayek of Thorp, Raymond Mamayek of Lublin; two daughter (Delores) Mrs. Julian Slowiak of Thorp, (Patricia) Mrs. Kenneth Roggeman of Milwaukee; six granddaughters and three grandson; one brother, Walter Mamayek of Milwaukee; and one sister, Mrs. Martha Zuzelski of Thorp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joseph, John and Paul.

Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were from Milwaukee, Chicago, Gilman, Lublin, Withee and Owen.
