Fort Eustis, Virginia – Army Captain George E. Mahalko, who in-laws, Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew Kubera, live in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), recently completed a
30-week Transportation Officer advanced course at the Army Transportation
School, Fort Eustis, Virginia.
Students receive instruction in the duties and responsibilities of a
Transportation Officer. The course entails a thorough survey of all modes of
military transportation. It is the movement of troops, supplies and equipment,
which is the primary mission of the Transportation Corps.
Captain Mahalko holds the Bronze Star Medal.
The captain received an A.A. Degree in 1969 from Taylor County Teachers College,
Medford, Wisconsin.
His wife, Florence, is with him at the fort.
