Platt, Louis (7 SEP 1937 – 22 MAR 1971)

Louis Platt, age 33, died at his home in St. Paul, Minnesota March 22, 1971, after a lingering illness.

He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota September 7, 1937. While a small child he came with his parent to the Thorp area (Clark Co., Wis.), where he grew to manhood.

He attended Sunny Lawn School until 1948. In 1949 his mother and family moved into the City of Thorp, and he finished his schooling. After graduating from Thorp High School, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served four years.

On June 23, 1962 he married Joan Konebeck in St. Paul

Louis is survived by his wife; two children, Louis III and Doreen; his mother, Frances Platt; one brother, Leon of Mundelein, Illinois; two sisters, Laura (Platt) Sarafin of Thorp, and Bernice (Platt) Koresuk of Gilman.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25 at St. Hedwig Church, with Father Lawrence Zawadzki, Louis' cousin, officiating.

Burial was in the parish cemetery.
