A group of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) athletic boosters have put together an
appreciation banquet for Coach Jack Tetzner, who has spent the past 17 years in
Thorp working with young people and accumulating one of the outstanding coaching
records in the state during that time.
The "Appreciation Night" will be held on Saturday night, April 10, 1971 at the
Thorp High School, and will start at 7:30 p.m.
An outstanding program is planned and is headed by Mark Zelich, Sport Director
of WSAU TV Channel 7 in Wausau, who will be the main speaker.
Brief testimonials will also be given by faculty, students, and town
representatives, as well as representatives of the area coaches and sports
writers.
A large number of Thorp High School Alumni, students, and townspeople will be on
hand to pay tribute. In addition, former Thorp Coaches, teachers, friends, and
area coaches will be in attendance.
Tickets are on sale at the following places: High School (Floyd Hanley0, Leon &
Lil's, and from the cheerleaders.
