Diercks, Sherry Lynn (Marriage – 15 March 1975)
St. Paul’s Church, Junction City, was the setting March 15 for the wedding of
Miss Sherry Lynn Diercks and Ronald Woytasik.
Pastor Gieser officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Diercks of Rt.
1. Junction City, former Neillsville residents, and the son of Mrs. Laura
Woytasik, Stevens Point. A reception was held at the Star Light.
The bride chose an empire-waist gown defined with lace trim and framed by a
full-length, lace-edged veil. She carried an arrangement of pink carnations,
white daisies and pink roses as she was presented in marriage by her father.
Marton of honor Mrs. Cindy Pozega of Willard, sister of the bride, appeared in
pink empire style gown fashioned with a ruffled V-neckline and a pink
flower-printed skirt. She carried a basket of white daisies.
Syl Woytasik, brother of the groom, served as bestman. Ushering duties were
shared by Jake Lightfoot, Humbird and Gene Van Astan.
Brent Pozega was the ringbearer and Dione Rachka, the flower girl.
The new Mrs. Woytasik will be a 1975 graduate of Spash High School, Stevens
Point, which her husband also attended. He is in the U. S. Marine Corps.
