Starkey, Ole K. (20 SEP 1902 – 9 APR 1971)
Ole Keith Starkey, 68, of Jump River (Taylor Co., Wis.) died suddenly Friday
morning at his home in Jump River. He was born September 20, 1902 in Richland
County, Wisconsin. He grew up in Richland County and on November 1, 1923 he
married Neva Earl at Boaz, Wisconsin. He moved to the Jump River area in 1930,
and has lived there since. He has been in ill health for the last three years.
He is survived by his wife, Neva, of Jump River; one son, Dale, Sheldon; two
daughters, Mrs. Burgess Herrick, Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Walter Simonson, Eau
Claire; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fay and
Bernard Starkey of Richland Center; and one sister, Mrs. Bernice Ewing, Fountain
City.
Funeral services were Monday at the Ladies Aid Hall in Jump River, with Rev.
Leroy Schrock officiating. Burial was at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.
