Kenner, Virgene (Herrick) (16 NOV 1954 - 1 AUG 2018)

Virgene was born on Nov. 16, 1954 to the late Neil and Lucille (Latz) Herrick. She grew up in the Jump River area and graduated from Gilman High in 1972. She married Rex Kenner on July 8, 1972 at St. John’s Catholic Church-Sheldon.

Virgene worked for the Gilman IGA, EJ Dairy for 17 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jump River ATV club. She was an author and loved to write books. She also enjoyed picking berries and making jam and doing crafts, such as memorial stones, bear paws and more. She also liked to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Rex Kenner of Jump River; her children, Jennie Kleinhans and Ryan Kenner, both of Phillips, and Tari Kenner of Jump River; her grandchildren, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Bryonna, Alivia and Sawyer; her siblings, Leon (Cleo) Herrick of Menomonie, Daryl (Wendy) Herrick of Cedarburg, Todd Herrick of Aurora, Ill. and Pam (Chuck) Goebel of Lugerville; her sister-in-law, Linda Herrick of Texas and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Craig Allen Kenner; her brothers, Michael John and Lonnie Dee Herrick; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Eva Latz and her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Jennie Herrick.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Jump River Community Center with Fr. Lourdu Raju officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the center.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Virgene M. Kenner, 63 of Jump River, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on November 16, 1954 to the late Neil and Lucille (Latz) Herrick.

Virgene grew up in the Jump River area and graduated from Gilman High in 1972. She married
Rex Kenner on July 8, 1972 at St. John’s Catholic Church-Sheldon. Virgene worked for the Gilman IGA, EJ Dairy for 17 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jump River ATV club.

She is survived by her husband, Rex Kenner of Jump River, 3 children, Jennie Kleinhans and Ryan Kenner both of Phillips and Tari Kenner of Jump River, 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Bryonna, Alivia and Sawyer, her siblings, Leon (Cleo) Herrick of Menomonie, Daryl (Wendy) Herrick of Cedarburg, WI, Todd Herrick of Aurora, IL and Pam (Chuck) Goebel of Lugerville, a sister in law, Linda Herrick of TX and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special cousins and dear friends.
