Toltzman, Raymond H. (13 JAN 1923 – 2 APR 2018)
Raymond H. Toltzman, 95, Spencer, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at
Bethel Nursing Home in Viroqua. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m.,
on Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer. Raymond’s son,
Dale, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in the town of
Brighton.
Raymond was born on Jan. 13, 1923, in the town of Unity, to Herman and Elsie
Toltzman. On June 5, 1943, Raymond married Blanche Rinehart at St. John’s
Lutheran Church. Together, they had three sons. Raymond owned and operated a
dairy farm for many years and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran
Church. He also enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Blanche; two sons: Dale (Candice) Toltzman of
Viroqua and Gregory (Katherine) Toltzman of Portland, Ore.; five grandsons;
eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delmer (Irene) Toltzman of Spencer and
Ronald (Doris) Toltzman of Henderson, Nev.; and a sister-in-law, Margaret
Toltzman of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Elsie; his brother, Eldred;
and his son, Terrence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John’s Lutheran
Church in Spencer.
