Sister Jo Ann Wereneer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Werner of Dorchester (Clark
Co., Wis.), took her final vows Saturday, June 14, 1969, at St. Gregory's Church
in Nazianz, Wisconsin. The pronouncement and sharing of vows occurred at a
Christian unity guitar high mass celebrated by Rev. Charles J. Hebl.
A dinner and reception at St. Gregory's auditorium followed. Thirty-five
relatives and friends attended, including her parents, her brothers, Joseph and
Gerald of Wausau, Miss Carol Ziebauer of Wausau, and Miss Fay Wakeen.
After graduation from St. Louis School in Dorchester, Sister Jo Ann entered the
Oder of St. Fanics in St. Joseph's Convent in Milwaukee, September 2, 1957. In
1960 she graduated from high school, and in 1962 she was received into the
order. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Alverno College in July
1966.
Sister Jo Ann will be teaching fourth grade at St. Gregory's in Nazianz next
fall. She has taught there for the past five years.
This summer Jo Ann is taking summer classes at the College of St. Teresa in
Winona, Minnesota. She will spend a week visiting her parents in August.
