Thornton, Coast Guard Lt. Gary J. (Military - 1975)
Coast Guard Lt. Gary J. Thornton of Neillsville has returned to New Bedford,
Ma., after a two-week patrol of fishing areas in the North Atlantic. As a
crewmember of the Coast Guard cutter Bibb, he helped locate and identify foreign
fishing vessels which were boarded and inspected to ensure adherence to United
States and International laws.
