Stephen Joseph Frankewicz, 65, left us on August 13, 2018, with family by his
side at his home residence in Thorp, WI.

Steve was born September 6, 1952, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Mary Ellen
Frankewicz. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1971 and later married
Christine Rosemeyer. He attended the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. He
returned to Owen-Withee where he took over his
father's business, Joe's Refrigeration Inc.
His interests included family, hunting, fishing, and helping others, all while
carrying on and growing the family business. Steve devoted much of his time and
energy being a business owner, husband, father, and, grandfather. His charm,
smile, and unending generosity will be remembered by all.
Stephen Joseph Frankewicz is survived by his wife and soul mate of 46 years,
Christine; two sons, Jason and Joel Frankewicz; and his five grandchildren.
Jason, wife Shelly, blessed Steve with four grandchildren: Raleigh (18);
Courtney (17); Stephen (13); Elizabeth (11). Joel Frankewicz blessed Steve with
one grandchild, Riley Frankewicz (16). Two brothers: John (Leslie) Frankewicz,
Ken (Theresa) Frankewicz; four sisters: Sue Simo, Sandy (Jeff) Moore, Karen
(Andy) Coldren, Kathy (Bob) Dobrzynski. He is further survived by several
nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his mother and father: Joseph and Mary Ellen
Frankewicz; his sister, Joanne Frankewicz; brother, Mike Frankewicz; and nephew,
Taylor Frankewicz; along with several extended family members.
After a short, four-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer, his final days were
spent surrounded by the love of family and friends. A funeral service is to be
held Saturday, August 18, 2018. There will be no visitation. The service will be
held at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Church, Thorp, WI. at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of
Steve's life will follow services. The celebration will be held at the Thorp
Quonset Hall with lunch, music, and memories of a great man.
