Volland, Judith Jean (Marriage – 18 April 1975)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the setting Friday evening, April 18, for the
wedding of Miss Judith Jean Volland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Volland,
Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Charles Frank Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Johnson, Rt. 1 Greenwood. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the 7 p.m.
ceremony, which was followed by a small reception at the HaCienda Supper Club
and a dance at the Weston Townhall.
The bride appeared in a gown of sheer white organza complimented by a matching
waist length veil secured to a pearl trimmed headpiece. She carried a bouquet of
pink roses, white daisies and blue baby’s breath as she was presented in
marriage by her father.
Miss Carol Durst, Loyal, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Marcia
Johnson and Mrs. Leroy Johnson, both of Greenwood. Bouquets of pink rose buds,
white carnations and lilies of the valley accented their pink-flowered blue
crepe gowns.
The groom was attended by Gary Johnson, Greenwood, as bestman and Bill Kernz,
Neillsville and Leroy Johnson, Greenwood, as groomsmen. Serving as ushers were
Bill Volland, Mr., and Walter Ormond.
Mrs. Glen Short was the organist. Mrs. Short and Susan Schmidt were vocalists.
The newlyweds, both Neillsville High School graduates, will make their home on
Rt. 1 Neillsville. He is employed by a local manufacturing firm.
