Wysocki, Hildegard L. (9 September 1900 – 15 April 1975)
Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Friday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church
for Mrs. Anselm (Hildegard L.) Wysocki, 74, of Neillsville, who died Tuesday,
April 15, following a brief illness. The Rev. Joseph Henseler will officiate,
and interment will be made in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery at Custer.
The body of Mrs. Wysocki will be in state beginning this (Thursday) afternoon at
2 o’clock at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited
at 7:30 p.m.
Born September 9, 1900, in Two Rivers to Edward and Mary (Weiss) LaFond, Mrs.
Wysocki attended elementary school and high school in Sheboygan and also
attended college in Milwaukee and in the state university system. During her
lifetime, she taught in schools in Sheboygan, Howards Grove, Wrightstown,
Oostburg, Pittsville and Gratiot. Mrs. Wysocki was a charter member of the
Community players of Sheboygan and was active in drama and speech activities all
her life.
Her marriage to Anselm Wysocki took place August 12, 1924, in Sheboygan.
Following their retirement in 1963, the couple moved to Neillsville. Mrs.
Wysocki was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of its PCCW and was also
a member of the Red Cross Volunteers organization.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two children, Mrs. Wolfgang
(Betty) Koehler of Monroe and Thomas Wysocki of Wayzata, Mn.; and 6
grandchildren.
