Nawrocki, Patricia C. (24 APR 1971)
St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd (Chippewa Co., Wis.) was decorated with
bouquets of gladiolas and mums for the marriage of Patricia C. Nawrocki and Alan
A. Romanowski on Saturday, April 24, 1971. Father Eugene A. Comiskey performed
the one p.m. marriage ceremony. Soloist, Miss Vicki Sluzewski, sang "On This
Day", as the bride placed a bouquet on the Blessed Virgin's altar.
Parents of the couple are: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nawrocki, Boyd, and Mr. and Mrs.
Romanowski, Gilman.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a floor length bridal gown of
organza and peau d'ange lace fashioned with Juliet sleeves and a high neckline.
A soft band of satin ribbon accented the lifted waistline, accenting the A-line
silhouette and sweeping into a chapel train. Her bouffant veil of sheer bridal
illusion secured a low profile highlighted by gleaming crystal.
Miss Sheryl Ellwood was maid of honor, and bridesmaids was Miss Marilyn
Losiewicz, with Miss Susan Nawrocki and Miss Bonnie Romanowski as junior
bridesmaids. They wore floor length empire styled dresses of chiffon in radiant
blue and maize, featuring bishop sleeves and high necklines. A ruffled jabot
accented the bodice of the A-line silhouette. Harmonizing veils secured a
forward petal coche.
Dennis Romanowski was best man, and groomsman was Gene Nawrocki. Ushers were
Robert Romanowski and Ray Nawrocki.
A reception was held at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman, where the dinner and dance
also were held.
The bride is employed as secretary at District One Technical Institute and the
groom with National Presto Industries, Eau Claire.
After a wedding trip to the southern states they will be at home at 1204 1/2
First Avenue, Eau Claire.
