Premeau, Barbara Ann (15 MAY 1971)
St. Mary's P.N. Catholic Church of Lublin (Taylor Co.), Wisconsin, was decorated
with floral bouquets for the marriage of Miss Barbara Ann Premeau of Lublin and
Raymond Lew Pawlak of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on May 15, 1971 at 7:30 by a
candlelight double ring ceremony performed by Reverend Roman Misiewicz, and this
is his first performance in America, as he recently arrived from Poland.
Miss Judy Stroinski, Thorp, was the organist, with solos. The bride's parents
are Mrs. Maria Premeau and the late Clarence Premeau of Appleton, Wisconsin. The
groom's parents are Mrs. Maria Pawlak and the late Adam Pawlak of Thorp.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Mr. John Shewczyk of
Lublin. The bride's dress was a street length white A-line gown with pearls and
sequin bodice, lace trim. Her shoulder length veil, which fell from a crown of
pearls and lily of the valley. She carried red roses with white carnations, with
red streamers and a heart shaped bouquet.
The maid of honor, friend of the bride, was Miss Irene Gwaizda of Thorp. Her
dress of light lavender street length, empire waist. Her bouquet was white mums
with yellow pompoms and yellow streamers.
Best man was the groom's brother, Jerry Pawlak of Stanley.
After the ceremony a dance was held at Club 73 Hall in Thorp with music by the
Derbytown Boys.
After the opening of their wedding gifts, a delicious lunch was served.
The beautiful three tier wedding cake was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gwaizda
and family, friends of the couple.
The bride graduated from Gilman High School, class of 1969. Also she graduated
from the Accredited School of Beauty Culture at Green Bay, Wisconsin, and is
employed at Greenwood Beauty Shop. The groom is employed at Stanley Corporation
in Stanley.
They spent the weekend trip in northern Wisconsin.
The couple will live in Stanley.
Guests attended from Appleton, Medford, Ogema, Lublin, Thorp, Stanley, Nekoosa,
Wisconsin, and Chicago, Illinois.
