Richard Boardman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) was awarded the C.J. Brewer Award in
Secondary Education at the Alumni Day of Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire
on Jun 19, 1971, Dr. Rodney Johnson , Dean of the School of Education, who made
the presentation, cited Mr. Boardman for excellence in academic accomplishment
and in student teaching.
Mr. Boardman graduated May 30, 1971 magna cum laude, with a B.S. degree
secondary education, majoring in mathematics and minoring in psychology. He did
his student teaching last fall at Marshfield High School, and this coming fall
will be teaching junior high school mathematics at Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
