Members of Taylor county’s board of supervisors will gather in special meeting
at the courthouse in Medford next Monday morning, August 16.
The principal purpose of the meeting will be the discussion of the damage to
roads and bridges by the floods and the method of obtaining aid from state funds
for the rebuilding of such roads and bridges.
The state and county highways of Taylor county sustained considerable damage
from flood waters in both 1942 and 1943, and it is understood that the state is
listening to claims for help repairing the damage suffered both years. The town
roads also took a lot of punishment during the flood times and their claims have
been the subject of discussion at various town meetings throughout Taylor
county.
