Hubert W. Moore, 72, of Ladysmith, ascended to Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018.

Hubert was born on Sept. 10, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to Vernon and Olive Moore. The family moved to Murry (Exeland), and Hubert graduated from Bruce High School in 1963.

Hubert married Gloria Martin on October 2, 1964. They devoted their lives to loving and raising children. Along with their own three children they opened their door and hearts to their 46 foster children. The door was always open to whomever needed a hug, bed, meal or a good talking to.
Hubert was a carpenter and set hundreds of modular homes. He loved fishing and hunting and had many stories of these adventures.

He loved all sports, but baseball was his favorite. He umpired for 25 years and went toe to toe with many a player and had a tendency to not back down off of his calls made.
