Moore, Hubert W. "Hubie" (10 SEP 1945 - 26 AUG 2018)
Hubert W. "Hubie" Moore, age 72 of Ladysmith, died on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at
Country Terrace of Ladysmith.
He is survived by his wife Gloria; daughter Cherri & Mike Jablonski of Wisconsin
Rapids, WI; sons Douglas & Tami of Ladysmith, WI; RonLee & Brenda Thompson of
Ladysmith, WI; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 43 foster sons from all over
the country; sister Virginia & Stan Bear of Elido, Oh; aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at South
Lawrence Mennonite Church with Nelson Stutzman officiating. Burial will be in
the South Lawrence Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday,
August 29th after 4:00 P.M. at the Nash - Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith and
again on Thursday at the church for an hour prior to the service.

Hubert W. Moore, 72, of Ladysmith, ascended to Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018.
Hubert was born on Sept. 10, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to Vernon and Olive Moore. The
family moved to Murry (Exeland), and Hubert graduated from Bruce High School in
1963.
Hubert married Gloria Martin on October 2, 1964. They devoted their lives to
loving and raising children. Along with their own three children they opened
their door and hearts to their 46 foster children. The door was always open to
whomever needed a hug, bed, meal or a good talking to.
Hubert was a carpenter and set hundreds of modular homes. He loved fishing and
hunting and had many stories of these adventures.
He loved all sports, but baseball was his favorite. He umpired for 25 years and
went toe to toe with many a player and had a tendency to not back down off of
his calls made.
Hubert is survived by his wife, Gloria; his daughter, Cherri (Mike) Jablonski of
Wisconsin Rapids; his sons, Douglas (Tami) and Ron Lee (Brenda Thompson) of
Ladysmith; 43 foster sons all over the country; his sister, Virginia (Stan) Bear
of Elido, Ohio and his aunts, uncles, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30 at South Lawrence
Mennonite Church with Nelson Stutzman officiating. Friends may call after 4 p.m.
on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith and again on
Thursday at the church for an hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in South Lawrence Mennonite Cemetery with a meal following.
