Stewart, David Samuel (15 JUL 1933 - 23 AUG 2018)
David Samuel Stewart was born July 15, 1933, in Rockford, Illinois, son of
Duncan and Mabel Stewart, and younger brother of Mary Stewart Kohler.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering in 1955. The main focus in his life was hunting and fishing, and he
was one of the most experienced and expert hunters and fishermen in the country.
David spent summers for his entire life at a cabin in Rusk County, Wisconsin,
and for the past 15 years, spent his winters near Punta Gorda, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Janet Anderson Stewart and was
later married until recently to Sandra Stewart. He is survived by his sister,
four nephews, a niece and many cousins.
David died August 23, 2018 of heart failure on the banks of a Wisconsin
smallmouth river at the end of a fishing day with a lifelong comrade.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to Ducks Unlimited.
