Wisconsin potato growers will check up on their standard and new varieties of
potatoes when they gather from all sections of the state to inspect
demonstration field in central and eastern Wisconsin.
This year, a large volume of disease free seed potatoes were shipped from
northern counties into southern and central Wisconsin. To check on the
performance of these and other stocks, the College of Agriculture has assembled
100 pound lots of potato stocks of both old and new varieties and has planted
these side by side for comparison.
At these meetings, growers will also consider plans for continuing this service
for another year.
