The Gilman and Cornell school boards came together Tuesday evening to discuss
the possible consolidation of the districts.
The next step will be separate meeting to gauge each board’s interest in
pursuing the issue. The boards, along with administrators Mark Heyerdahl and
Paul Schley and an audience of 14, spent two hours in the Gilman cafeteria
examining the reasons to consolidate the districts and the questions the
communities would need answered to make an informed vote on the issue.
The Gilman board listened to Cornell’s proposal for a plan it calls an
administrative consolidation. The boards also heard questions and suggestions
from the audience.
