Petska, Kenneth “Moose” D. (30 JUN 1928 - 22 AUG 2018)
Kenneth “Moose” D. Petska, 90 of Sheldon, passed away comfortably on August 22,
at the Cornell Area Care Center.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Randy (Carrie) Petska, Debbie Petska,
Rosemary Petska, and Brian (Lori) Petska, Shirley’s daughter and grandson –
Kelly and Hunter Brockner, Siblings, Kay Smith, Tom Sr. (Darlene) Petska, and
Bruce Petska, he is also survived by many grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 25th at the Sheldon
Church of Christ in Sheldon, with Pastor Jeremy Allard officiating. Visitation
will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Interment will follow the funeral service at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Kenneth “Moose” D. Petska, 90, Sheldon, passed away comfortably Wednesday, Aug.
22, 2018, at Cornell Health Services.
Kenneth was born June 30, 1928, the son of Alfred and Margaret (Koenig) Petska,
in Chippewa County.
As a young man, Kenneth was enlisted in the armed forces and served as military
police in the Korean War.
He started farming in Tilden, in 1971, and continued to farm until the late
1980s. Kenneth and his girlfriend, Shirley Brockner, bought Club 27 in Cadott,
in 1993, and ran it until 2003. They then retired to Sheldon. There they enjoyed
10 years together, before Shirley’s passing in 2013.
Kenneth remained in Sheldon thereafter, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing
with Hunter, reading, and as Kenneth would say, “going around the horn and
having a couple beers.” He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children – Randy (Carrie) Petska, Debbie Petska, Rosemary
Petska and Brian (Lori) Petska; Shirley’s daughter and grandson – Kelly and
Hunter Brockner; siblings – Kay Smith, Tom Sr. (Darlene) Petska and Bruce
Petska; and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; partner of 22 years – Shirley; and 10
siblings – Dorothy Hatfield, Wilfred Petska, Harvey Petska Sr., Francis Petska,
Alfred Petska Jr., Rose Wawrzyniak, Raymond Petska, Roger Petska, Margaret
Paddock and David Petska.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, at Sheldon Church of Christ,
with Pastor Jeremy Allard officiating. Visitation was from 9:30 a.m., until the
time of service Saturday, at the church.
Interment followed the funeral service at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon.
