Schumacher, Evelyn (25 JAN 1905 – 21 JUL 1971)

Evelyn Schumacher, 66, of rural Boyd (Chippewa Co., Wis.), passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Wednesday, July 21, 1971. Funeral services were conducted at Holy Family Catholic Church South, Stanley, on Saturday, July 24th. Reverend John Pinion officiated at the ten a.m. service, with burial being made in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Evelyn Regele was born January 25, 1905 at Marshfield. She was married July 14, 1925 at Marshfield to Louis Schumacher. After their marriage they moved to the Maple Hill area, near Stanley, and operated the Maple Hill Cheese Factory until 1953, then operated the Maple Hill Tavern until 1969.

Surviving are one son, Louis of Minneapolis; four daughters, (Virginia) Mrs. Joseph Rygiel, , (Alvina) Mrs. Edward Lis, (Rozella) Mrs. Harold Leja, all of Stanley, (Janice) Mrs. William Fitzgerald of Boyd; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Louis and Andrew of Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Schueller and (Marie) Mrs. Carl Eilers of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, an infant daughter, and her parents.
