Wal, Mary Anna (29 APR 1888 – 31 JUL 1971)
Mary Anna Wal, 83, passed away at the Marshfield Convalescent Home on Saturday,
July 31, 1971. Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home, Tuesday,
August 3rd. Henry Wojner officiated at the two p.m. service, with burial being
made in the East Thorp Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ervin Robertson, Bill, Cammers, Ralph Kramer, Randall Ryll,
Alfred Molle, and Norman Geisler.
Mary Anna Giza was born on April 29, 1888 in Poland, coming to the states in
1913, residing in Sandusky, Michigan. On July 16, 1916 she was united in
marriage to Michael Wal in Chicago, where they resided before coming to Thorp
(Clark Co., Wis.) about 1927.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Wal; one son, Frank Wall of Lublin; one
daughter, Stella Jerzyk of Downers Grove, Illinois; six grandchildren, Wayne
Bardin, Betty Meinders, Gloria Gibbon, Bonnie Dombroski, Larry Wall and Michael
Wall. Two sisters, Antoinette Zdun of Hazel Park, Michigan and Sophie Krol of
Chicago.
Three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
