Dake, Ronald D. (5 JUN 1943 - 9 SEP 2018)
Ronald D. Dake, 75, of Stetsonville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Cremation Rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will held at 11:00
AM, Thursday September 13, 2018 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Stetsonville. Pastor Richard Russow will officiate. Visitation will be held at
the church Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will
be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
Ron was born June 5, 1943 in Milan, WI to Archie and Florence (Lueck) Dake. He
attended Medford High School. He married Carol L. Riemer on October 18, 1965 in
Chicago, IL. Carol survives.
He is further survived by his children: Tammy (Robert) Olwell, Ogema, Robin
(Kevin) Robida, Steven Dake, Jason (Rebecca) Dake all of Medford, 11
Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren; brothers, David “Pink” (Patricia) Dake of
Medford, Allen “Rusty” (Linda) Dake of Stetsonville, and several nieces and
nephews.
Ron drove truck and worked in the factory at Hurd Window Company. He retired
from there after 43 years in 2008. He enjoyed camping, mowing and keeping his
lawn immaculate, wood working, feeding birds, gardening, hunting, smelt fishing
and watching the Packers and Brewers. He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran
Church in Stetsonville.
He loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren, and enjoyed attending
all of their sporting events.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Ron can be given to his
family, with designation at a later date.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with
arrangements.
